Puppies given a second chance

Tiny brothers Isaac and Taylor arrived at Together for Animals member charity Blue Cross weak, bald and terrified. Just eight weeks old, they were starving, their skin painfully inflamed from mange, and their bellies swollen with worms. Abandoned alongside another sibling, they were incredibly vulnerable and unlikely to have survived much longer on their own.
They needed urgent care — and they got it. With medicated baths to soothe their sore skin, parasite treatment, nutritious food and gentle, reassuring handling, the puppies slowly began to recover. Bit by bit, they learned that people could be kind.

Just three weeks later, thanks to the dedicated team at Blue Cross Bromsgrove, the three brothers were almost unrecognisable. Their fur had grown back, their confidence had blossomed, and they’d transformed into the playful, mischievous lurcher puppies they were always meant to be.
It didn’t take long for each of them to find loving homes, where their traumatic start in life became a distant memory.

Every day, our member charities welcome animals who need a second chance — and thanks to your kindness, they can give them the life‑changing care that makes stories like Isaac and Taylor’s possible.
