A Christmas Miracle and the Gift of Hope
Meet Dakota, who has been being nursed back to full health since January this year by our member World Horse Welfare. His traumatic journey reminds us that miracles are possible with your support.
When Dakota was found in the West Country earlier this year, our hearts broke. This gentle two-year-old had some of the worst injuries the team had ever seen. Wounded in a stallion attached Dakota was bleeding badly with open bite wounds covering his whole body.
Despite the pain he must have been suffering, Dakota’s amazing personality shone through and the team caring for him developed a soft spot gentle youngster.
The treatment and bespoke rehabilitation programme Dakota has received has helped him on his road to recovery. Despite some visible scarring on his neck and body, Dakota has recovered well and has now found a loving new home, where he can continue to thrive, with no lasting damage from his traumatic event.
Dakota’s has a bright future ahead of him, but every day more animals face crisis situations, needing urgent rescue and rehabilitation. Your support could help save another life like Dakota.
