Carla’s kittens
Last October, on a cold night, a cardboard box was left outside our member charity Mayhew’s doors. Inside were Carla and her tiny kitten, both frightened and unsure of what would happen next. They needed care and protection, and thankfully, because of your generosity, that’s exactly what they were about to receive.
When the team brought Carla in, they quickly realised she was also pregnant. Despite her hardships, she remained gentle and trusting. With your support, she was moved into a loving foster home, where she gave birth to seven beautiful kittens.
Carla nurtured her little ones with love, and as they grew, Mayhew’s Instagram community helped name them—Pinto, Lima, Dill, Barley, Gnocchi, Orzo, and Ravioli! One by one, they found forever homes, and finally, Carla did too. After being such a devoted mother, she now has a loving home where she is cherished.
While Carla’s story has a happy ending, many animals still need help. The demand for Together for Animals members’ services has never been greater. Every day, more animals need them — some abandoned, others in urgent need of medical care, and many simply seeking safety.
