Stray cat rescued

Stray cat rescued

When stray cat Dennis first arrived at our member charity Mayhew in early May, he needed urgent veterinary care. Having been living on the streets, he had sustained an injury on the side of his face which was likely caused from a cat fight. With no medical intervention, the wound had turned into a painful abscess and Dennis was at high risk of infection. Fortunately, he was able to receive help before it was too late.

As soon as Dennis arrived at Mayhew’s clinic, he was able to receive the treatment he needed, including antibiotics. As well as veterinary care, Dennis received his own cosy cabin where he could rest and receive nutritious meals. Not to mention lots of love from the Cattery Team.

With some time and dedicated care, Dennis has made an incredible recovery. His face has completely healed, and he’s really come out of his shell. From a shy and reserved cat, Dennis now happily greets people when they enter his cabin and loves to receive fuss.

Sadly, his time on the streets has left a permanent mark and Dennis has been diagnosed with FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but this won’t prevent him from living a normal and healthy life ensuring he receives the proper care he deserves.

After receiving the help he needed, Dennis has made an incredible recovery, and we’re delighted to say that he is now settling in a new loving home.

With the support of people like you, Dennis could receive the treatment and care he urgently needed. If left untreated, Dennis could have become very poorly. Thank you for your support.
