Stray puppy’s fresh start
A four-month-old puppy found wandering alone on a busy main road during lockdown is now enjoying a life of love, thanks to Together for Animals member Blue Cross.
Terrier-cross Marvin was found by a dog walker and taken to Blue Cross’ Suffolk rehoming centre in March.
He was not microchipped so when no one came forward to claim the youngster, the team at Blue Cross took him into their care.
Marvin was in good health but was nervous, so Animal Welfare Assistant Bradley Tovell set up a camp bed to stay with the youngster in his kennel the first night.
Bradley said: “Marvin was a little worried so that first night I stayed with him in his kennel, set up my camp bed for the night to make sure he settled and was ok.”
Marvin then went into foster care with Bradley and his dog Frank, where he quickly came out of his shell and was running around, full of energy.
Marvin quickly found a new home when Blue Cross started to take applications for some pets by holding virtual ‘visits’ with potential new owners through video calls. We’re delighted that he is continuing to thrive.
